I don't know about you, but I've seen this trend everywhere lately on social media. I have yet to see it IRL, but I'm sure that I'll see it sooner or later. It's the kind of trend that I would only report about, and not really wear... It's not that I have something against it, I think it's kinda cool but I guess it's just not my style. Maybe I would upload a picture to Instagram wearing it but I would take it off right after, and not really wear it on the streets.
Call me old-fashioned but I consider it as kinda cheap (check out what else I think is cheap here). Don't get me wrong, I love the way Alexa Chung wore it (scroll down) but to wear it under shorts, ehh, I don't know... I honestly think people might be wearing it just to take a good Instagram photo! If you like this style, then go ahead and wear it! I think it looks super cool, but like I said, not really my style.
How to Style it
The most practical way I think I would enjoy wearing the fishnets is under a pair of heels, as socks. I think it adds a little edge and spices up with classic stilettos (a pair of Louboutins, of course). Also, I would wear it with a graphic tee (Calvin Klein for example) that shows the tiniest bit of your belly, maybe exposes a little more when you lift up your arms.
