With Spring being in full bloom and Summer just around the corner, here in New York we still get some chilly days. This city simply does not care about schedules and clearly doesn't follow the seasons appropriately! Today I wanted to share with you guys a look that is perfect for this transition season, and especially for the colder days. Whether you're going to a day at the office, an important meeting or even just a stroll around Soho shopping with the girls, this look is the perfect sophisticated casual. It's simple: all you need is a coordinated color scheme with above-the-average items. Next time you go shopping don't be afraid to buy that pink bomber or that sequined sweater you've been eyeing in forever. I think that fashion enables you to be who you want to be. Fashion is a tool to express all aspects of your personality and you just need to have fun with it. I know that some days I could wear the most rugged badass outfit, and the next I could put on my sequin hills and a pink sweater while looking like the most innocent girl in the world! ;) I just really think making a statement is simple. Don't be afraid to be yourself, even if you think you're overdressed. There is not such thing. Fashion is fun, you should have fun with it and not be scared to show your true colors.
With all that being said, this outfit is easy to pull off, all you need is that right elements! Hope you like this as much as I do :) I put together that hem-ruffle sweater and those IRO PARIS white denim and my favorite glitter boots. It's both casual and sophisticated. I love anything that glitters and sparkles so when I saw these boots at an LF store I could not resist. Especially since they were on sale! Full disclosure: they are one size smaller than my size but if I wear really thin socks then they fit me perfectly :) They were the last ones at the store! I always like to break a black and white outfit and a pop of color. For some reason I don't have the same need when I wear black on black or all white everything. There is something about white and black that makes me want to break the predicted color schemes and add a sophisticated pop of color. Forgive me but I actually shot this look as a part of the collaboration with the LES boutique, A.Turen so I don't remember the designer of that amazing sweater. I linked down below the closest version! If you live in the city I highly recommend going to A.Turen which is on 185 Stanton and check out their beautiful stuff! They always have the best sale, just don't forget to say that I sent you :)
