Wearing a crop top has always been kind of a sensitive subject for me. Either I don't like the way they look on the body or just the style... But recently I scored this INTERMIX crop top (it was on huge sale) that I absolutely fell in love with. I had to buy it no matter what. My sisters know that I "hate crop tops" so they kinda laughed at me when I bought it, but honestly it is so gorgeous I figured I will find a way to wear it with feeling comfortable in my own skin!
1. With the High Waisted Bottoms
This of course may seem as the most obvious solution, but the trick really works. You can sit down without having to worry about any skin showing and walk around as if you're wearing a normal top! It all depends on how much skin you want to show. It is up to you whether you want the super high rise or even the mid rise. Just whatever you feel comfortable in! Here I wore it with my ZARA high waisted skort. It was perfect because I loove the color combination, it totally felt like Summer which is the best reason to wear a crop top! I especially love this combination because these are super high rised, so it only shows a tease and not the "in your face" belly :) I bought this hat on the Venice beach boardwalk and I may have been biased because it totally went with my outfit :)
2. With the Midi Rise Pants
OKAY so I know I said I hate crop tops and I hate showing that area of skin BUT, I felt totally comfortable showing it with my J BRAND mid rise jeans. This is the next level of wearing a crop top that's a bit more "in your face," but honestly I felt totally comfortable wearing it with these! A tip to wear it with the mid rise pants is to wear a jacket over it. If at any point you feel uncomfortable you can close it, but really with a jacket it gives the opportunity to show less skin. Also you can tell that I was at the beach that day so that always helps! For example, I would not necessarily wear the same outfit if I went to University, I would choose the other combo!
I hope this post helps with making you feel more comfortable with wearing a crop top, and that it gives you some ideas :) See you on the next post xoxo
